Super Simple Strawberry Shortcake Trifle Recipe

This dessert is essentially the equivalent of a layered banana pudding but with fresh strawberries. Layers of strawberries, strawberry glaze, shortbread cookies, and a decadent mixture of vanilla pudding and whipped topping make this easy dessert a recipe winner!

  • 1.5 cups of strawberries, sliced

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 (1-ounce) box of sugar-free vanilla instant pudding mix

  • 1 (13.5-ounce) container of sugar-free strawberry glaze

  • 2 (8-ounce) tub of sugar-free whipped topping

  • 2 cups of sugar-free shortbread cookies, divided


  • Set aside a half cup of strawberries for garnish.
  • Combine pudding mix and milk in a small bowl; stir with a whisk until smooth.
  • Fold whipped topping into pudding mixture.
  • Layer 1/2 cup of cookies in bottom of a dish.
  • Spread 1/3 of the strawberry glaze over cookies.
  • Place 1/2 cup of strawberries on the glaze.
  • Pour in 1/4 of the pudding mixture and smother until the layer is even.
  • Repeat procedure with the remaining cookies, glaze, strawberries and pudding mixture.
  • Top with sliced strawberries, a drizzle of strawberry glaze and crumbled cookies.
  • Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate.
